Our Philosophy
Our Approach
Back pain has been attempted to be classified many times by many different groups of researchers but as yet agreement between disciplines and professions is not 100% congruent as to the causes. To help you to get the help that would benefit you the most we have audited our files and have produced an evidence based self referral pathway for non specific low back pain. Normally, back pain should clear up within 3-14 days. If you haven't already, if you've had no improvement after 14 days, refer yourself to us at Life Right to receive appropriate treatment before you develop a compensation pattern of movement into a 'new normal', i.e. your body compensating for the injury. When back pain is left to 'get better on it's own', after 4-6 weeks symptoms have subsided and you will have a 'new normal' for your back. Invariably this compensation is what causes chronic recurrent back pains.
| Symptoms | Category (1) |
| Aggravated by forward bending and relieved by bending backward. Some aggravated in both directions. | 1 |
| Aggravated by bending backward | 2 |
| Constant pain centred below gluts above knee in leg | 3 |
| Intermittent leg pain above the knee below the gluts relieved by rest in forward bend position. | 4 |
After a 6 week program with Life Right your symptoms could be gone and your body may well stay as efficient as it was before the pain episode. Inefficient movement in your body is something to be avoided through out your life. Life Right will document to your GP what was done for you and why to update your medical file. This can be helpful when you change GP to ensure that you get health care in the way that you want it and in the way that works for you.
